In a dramatic new projection show filled with special effects and magic, Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World® Resort and “It’s a Small World” at Disneyland® Resort transform into shimmering canvases for images of park Guests and the memories they made that day.
In the nighttime spectacle, photos of Guests captured that very day in the park are projected larger-than-life among the spires and turrets of Cinderella Castle and onto the “It’s a Small World” façade. The ten-minute experience – called “The Magic, The Memories, and You!” – dazzles park Guests on both coasts in ways never before experienced, themed to beloved Disney stories and with playful animated sequences that seem to defy the architecture of the buildings.
As many as 500 images shot that day project onto the icon surfaces each night the show is presented, producers estimate.
As classic Disney music weaves in and out of the new “Let the Memories Begin” theme song, these classic park icons magically transform in playful and exciting ways to accompany the Guests’ memories of fun, adventure and family experiences.
As Disney Parks encourages families to “Let the Memories Begin,” Guests have been celebrating their only-at-Disney memories by sharing their stories and by uploading photos and videos online at DisneyParks.com/memories.
Disney's Art Of Animation Resort - Coming in 2012!
In late 2012, guests visiting the Walt Disney World® Resort will have a new resort option, offering rooms and suites that house up to six Guests each.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will feature quality family suites designed around four unique themes: The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Cars and The Little Mermaid. Located adjacent to Disney’s Pop Century Resort, the new resort will include 1,120 family suites and 864 themed rooms – for a total of nearly 2,000 new units. Suites will feature both a living room and a bedroom, offering added space for families.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will be the 26th hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort, and will offer themed building exteriors and room interiors, and larger-than-life icons from the animated films in the courtyard areas.
All accommodations at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are expected to open by the end of 2012.
